Artigianato e Palazzo collaborates with Lvmh to support the excellence of Made in Italy

Its 29th edition, which will be held as usual in the garden of Palazzo Corsini in Florence, Artigianato e Palazzo will celebrate it with an unprecedented and very important collaboration, the one with the Métiers d’Excellence division of Lvmh, the most important luxury group of the planet.

Thanks to the agreement, this year all young people under 25 will have free access to the Corsini Garden during the days of the exhibition and will be able to discover all the aspects of creating crafts by participating in workshops and small workshops offered by some of the 75 maisons headed by Lvmh in dedicated spaces. An initiative useful for attracting the approximately 350,000 new human resources to the trades of excellence, which give life to Made in Italy, which according to Altagamma are urgently needed to renew and feed the industry within the next few years.

Moreover, the Métiers d’Excellence had landed in Florence in 2017 in their Italian version (the launch in France dates back to 2014), with the launch of the Istituto dei Mestieri d’Eccellenza which offers free training programs: today , more than 20 training courses are active in our country in the fields of craftsmanship, but also of customer experience, and in the last two years specific projects have also been launched to support Italian craftsmanship, such as the collaboration between the artist Francesca Pasquali from Bologna – who uses waste materials for her works – and Simona Iannini, an expert in bobbin lace from L’Aquila, whose work “Punto Plastico” was presented last November in Paris. A support that also comes from the “Maestri d’Eccellenza” award, created in collaboration with the National Chamber of Fashion and Confartigianato.

This new edition of Artigianato e Palazzo will also host other important collaborations, such as the one with Artex, the Center for Artistic and Traditional Craftsmanship of Tuscany, for the collective exhibition “Matters and Virtuosity”, and the one with the (also Tuscan) hotel group Starhotels , which will bring “La Grande Bellezza – The Dream Factory” to the Grandi Maestri Limonaia of Giardino Corsini, the contemporary patronage project for the enhancement of high Italian craftsmanship, which brings the works of the masters to the hotels, from the sheets to the furnishings, made in collaboration with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte. And then, of course, space for the artisans, with as many as 100 guests at the event: the artist ceramics by Daniele Giannetti, the sculptures in derived mycelium by Cosimo De Vita, the artistic mosaics “in commission” of semi-precious stones and inlays of Fratelli Traversari, the fabrics of Ozio Piccolo Studio Tessile by Simone Falli, made on special wooden looms, and those dyed with natural pigments from the La Robbia artisan workshop; the sartorial glasses by Luca Mariotti, the soaps by Valentina Tocci from the Officina dei Saponi and the perfumes and essences of the female monastic community of the Antica Spezieria Santa Maria della Neve in Pratovecchio, in the province of Arezzo.
