ROMA – Train the employees of the main Italian companies to use eBikes for the commute from home to work. This is the fulcrum of the Bike Town project set up by Taking Off, a company specialized in the Bike Industry sector and godmother of the main events dedicated to this sector. The format includes days of training, storytelling and experience, and a practical part with the Urban eBike tests that employees can carry out directly on the routes they take every day to move from their homes to the office.
The project is also part of the latest government decisions aimed at decongesting traffic in cities. On 11 May, an implementing decree was signed which requires companies to draw up a Home-Work Travel Plan (PSCL) and which introduces a new and innovative figure in the company organization chart: the mobility manager. This figure will have to carry out interventions of organization and management of the demand for staff mobility, and will be the reference for collaborators as regards the optimization of their home-work trips. For this reason, Urban eBikes represent the best solution for a progressive growth and imposition of intermodal mobility: they allow you to complete long journeys in a relatively short time, they can be transported on public transport and are undoubtedly the most sustainable means for the environment.
