Bikes and canoes on the roof of the car? Dropracks takes care of it

by admin

ROME – The number of people who practice outdoor sports is constantly growing and to help motorists facilitate the transport of their equipment, Dropracks has created a convenient roof rack. Lifting a bicycle, a canoe or a surfboard and fixing it on the classic roof rack is not a very easy operation, especially when you are also tired at the end of your favorite sporting activity. For this reason, the Norwegian startup has created the ingenious system divided into two parts: a base that always remains on the roof, and the actual roof rack, which moves up and down from that base through an easy crank mechanism.

Starting the loading and unloading operations is very simple, just press the two release buttons of the rack and start pulling it out horizontally, once it comes out, fold the handle-bracket and start turning it until the loading surface reaches the desired height. Working at the door handle height is much more comfortable and safer and once all the fixing operations have been completed, just repeat the procedure in reverse. Nothing simpler.

The company has made the Dropracks available in two black anodized aluminum models, the Black Series Sport and the Black Series XL. The former has a load width of 140cm and a maximum load capacity of 75kg, while the XL has a load width of 160cm and a weight capacity of 80kg. In short, Dropracks is an accessory that proves to be very useful in many circumstances even if the price to pay for such convenience is not exactly popular since the larger model, including shipping costs, is on sale at 1,850 euros while for the more compact Sport 1,550 euros are spent. The Norwegian company is opening direct branches in various countries but for Italy the reference distributor is the German Road Ranger on whose website you can buy your favorite model directly.
