Sausage, cheese, bread and rice. For the second edition of «Bra’s. The Festival del Buon Gusto », scheduled from 9 to 12 December, the city of Zizzola drops poker twice. The first is made up of four local excellences, led by the great protagonist: the renowned Bra sausage, the only one produced with veal. The second poker is the one formed by the four starred chefs who will arrive in the city to celebrate their products and to cook an 8-handed gala dinner: they are Massimo Camia from La Morra, Flavio Costa from 21.9 from Piobesi d’Alba, Walter Ferretto from Cascinale Nuovo of Isola d’Asti and the two-star Gennaro Esposito of the Torre del Saracino in Vico Equense (Naples).

In addition to sharing the stoves for the great dinner scheduled for Thursday 9 December at the Albergo dell’Aenzia in Pollenzo, during the four days of the «Bra’s» festival the chefs will reinterpret local excellence through dishes designed exclusively for the occasion. “After Cheese and the Truffle Fair – underlined the regional councilor for Culture, Tourism and Commerce, Vittoria Poggio, during the presentation of the event, in the Transparency room of the Piedmont Region – the Sausage Festival puts Piedmont again at the center of national and international scenario for events dedicated to food and wine, at a time when it is necessary to relaunch our excellence as a factor of economic growth for producers and tourist attraction for hospitality operators “.

The regional councilor for agriculture and food, Marco Protopapa, added: «With this Festival we add a piece to a complete tourist offer, made possible thanks to the synergy between local authorities, protection consortia, producer associations. Regional and national fairs and festivals dedicated to Piedmontese food and wine excellences and with the presence of our producers, contribute to making the hills of Roero, Langhe and Monferrato more and more attractive to tourists ».

After the forced stop of last year, the 2021 format of “Bra’s” includes two appointments by reservation (9 and 10 December) and a weekend open to the public, without the need for reservations (11 and 12 December), to enjoy the shows cooking of the starred, taste exceptional dishes and discover the excellence of the territory, food and wine and more.

In particular, over the weekend the chefs Camia, Ferretto and Costa, accompanied by their brigades, will cook live, in the giant open kitchen set up at the Movicentro, six dishes designed for the event. The main protagonist will be the Bra sausage, combined with local specialties: rice, vegetables from the gardens, bread and Bra Dop cheese. Signature dishes for everyone, which can be enjoyed at the price of 12 euros. The event is organized by the Municipality of Bra and the Ascom di Bra, in collaboration with the Salsiccia di Bra, Bra DOP and Pane di Bra Consortia, Confartigianato Cuneo, Coldiretti Cuneo, Campagna Amica, Slow Food and the support of the Piedmont Region, Chamber of Commerce of Cuneo, Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourist Board and Crc Foundation.
