Bruno Mars Faces a $50 Million Debt Due to Poker Addiction: How Will This Affect His Assets?

Bruno Mars is currently facing a daunting challenge as he finds himself in a million-dollar debt with MGM Resorts International. The acclaimed singer, known for hits such as “When I Was Your Man” and “Just The Way You Are,” reportedly owes the hotel and casino chain a hefty sum of $50 million due to his poker addiction.

According to close sources, Mars signed a residency agreement with MGM back in 2016, which earns him around $90 million a year. However, a large portion of this income is now required to be used towards paying off his debt to the chain. Despite his successful career and estimated assets of $175 million, the debt poses a significant financial burden for the artist.

As part of his deal with MGM, Bruno Mars was also involved in the creation of The Pinky Ring, a cocktail bar within the Bellagio resort. The success of this and other projects in development may now be at risk due to Mars’s substantial debt.

In an effort to address his financial obligations, Bruno Mars recently announced 12 new dates for his Las Vegas residency, set to take place between April and September 2024. It is speculated that these additional shows are a strategic move by the musician to generate the revenue needed to pay off his debt to MGM.

Bruno Mars has previously opened up about his early experiences with gambling, revealing his past addiction to poker and the challenges he faced in the world of betting. Despite the negative aspects of his gambling addiction, Mars also shared some positive experiences, such as being able to cover his rent and utilities by playing cards when he first moved to Los Angeles.
