BTS Raises $6.99 Million for UNICEF with “LOVE MYSELF” Campaign

The popular Korean boy band BTS made headlines at the 64th Grammy Awards, where they stunned fans on the red carpet photos. But it’s not just their music that’s making waves – BTS is also making a difference with their charity work.

According to a recent announcement by the Korean Committee of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), BTS has raised an impressive 8.9 billion won (approximately NT$230 million / US$6.99 million) through their “LOVE MYSELF” campaign. This initiative, which was started in 2017 in collaboration with UNICEF Korea, aims to promote self-love and combat violence against children and youth.

The partnership between BTS and UNICEF has been ongoing since 2017, with the boy band and their fans donating profits from merchandise and album sales to the cause. The funds raised have gone towards the “#ENDviolence” program, which helps support children and youth who have experienced violence.

In 2024, BTS and UNICEF renewed their contract and launched the second part of the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign, known as the “#OnMyMind” campaign. This new initiative focuses on promoting mental health awareness and support for children and adolescents around the world.

Fans of BTS have been instrumental in the success of the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign, with their support helping to raise millions of dollars for UNICEF’s important work. As BTS continues to use their platform for good, it’s clear that their impact goes far beyond the music industry.

With the ongoing support of BTS and their dedicated fans, the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign is making a real difference in the lives of children and youth around the world.
