CHAMPOLUC – As soon as you enter the Aosta Valley with its mountains and castles perched in strategic positions on the motorway, there is the Verrès exit. From there you take what is little more than an uphill gut that makes not only cyclists sweat but also those who are queued up behind a bus or a service truck. The effort is worth it, because then you look out over the Ayas Valley where Champoluc is located almost at the end of the paved road.
The landscape is simply enchanting and the ideal area for many activities, from trekking to horse riding, from skiing in the winter to cycling in the summer. It is the environment where Camp Zero flourished, a modern resort chosen by the Italian branch of Lexus for an unusual but nevertheless successful collaboration. This is how the “Lexus house” was born, on the strength of some values that the luxury brand of the Toyota group often points out to distinguish itself in the field of automobile production. In order: centrality of the customer and hospitality at the highest levels, attention to detail and finally environmental sustainability.
In over 40 years of existence, Lexus has been able to build its own image and win the trust of important markets, sometimes with great success as in North America. The partnership with Camp Zero in Champoluc served as a pretext for a review of the current production, which took off starting from the first hybrid of the brand, the RX400h launched in 2005. The range of electrified versions has also expanded due to a precise choice of the Italian branch which from 2013 proposes them as the only ones on the list. The now classic RX Hybrid remains a kind of flag, evolved into the latest generation RX450h version.
Lexus also relies heavily on the more compact UX which is now also available as a pure electric car, easy to handle and ready to respond promptly to the driver, both with the engine and with the steering. Finally, the richest coupé and convertibles in the LC range represent the icing on the cake for the most demanding and sporty, without forgetting the ES sedan which follows its sporty line.
