PADUA. Selected this morning at the Palazzo del Bò, in the hall of the University of Padua, the five finalists of the 59th edition of the Campiello Prize. The finalists will be: “The book of houses” by Andrea Bajani (Feltrinelli); «It still bleeds» by Paolo Nori (Mondadori); “If the water laughs” by Paolo Malaguti (Einaudi); «The water of the lake is never sweet» by Giulia Caminito (Bompiani); “The happiness of others” by Carmen Pellegrino (La nave di Teseo).
Meanwhile, the winning book of the Campiello Opera Prima Award was announced, which went to Daniela Gambaro with «Ten stories almost true» (Nutrimenti).
The final ceremony of the Prize, with the designation of the winner, will be held at the Arsenale of Venice on 4 September.
