Singer Carlos Marin died last Sunday. The cause of death was not disclosed. He was 53 years old.

According to Spanish media reports, Carlos Marin was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Royal Manchester Medical Center in England on December 8, when the classical cross-border vocal group Il Divo was on tour in the UK.
Il Divo then postponed the UK Christmas tour until next year. “Unfortunately, due to Carlos’ illness, the remaining date of Il Divo’s December 2021 UK tour has been postponed to December 2022,” a tweet wrote.
Since “Il Divo” was founded by Simon Cowell in 2003, global record sales have exceeded 28 million. In a statement, Cowell said: “I find it difficult to express my feelings in words. The passing of Carlos Marin makes me grieve. He loves life. He loves acting and is always right. Those fans who have supported the band since day one are grateful. Rest in peace, Carlos. I will miss you.”
