ROME – Discover new and hidden corners, driving a Ferrari. What else? Someone would say… what else to want from life? Well, then here is Cavalcade Riviera. It is not for everyone, unfortunately. But it’s nice to know it’s there.
It is an itinerary, which unites Italy and France, and (obviously) concerns the Ferrari clientele. Which (for those who participate) will discover iconic places of the Côte d’Azur and the Riviera di Ponente, Alpine passes and exclusive locations, famous landscapes but also lesser-known corners to be made known and valued.
This is – in summary – the Ferrari Cavalcade. The guide? Today the start from Sanremo and then, via the seafront to Monaco up to visit the ancient sanctuary of Vicoforte. The start will be preceded by a large exhibition at the Forte di Santa Tecla of the 144 participating cars (here it is the number …), record for the event. For the onlookers it will be really a beautiful sight, a pleasure for the eyes: because they will be able to admire most of the models presented by Ferrari in the last ten years. A sort of open-air museum on the move.
Tomorrow will be dedicated to the Côte d’Azur, the Monaco / Saint-Tropez coast, the inland roads of Provence.
Then, for the day of St. Peter and Paul, a path through the passes of the Maritime Alps, which cuts the border at Isola 2000 and crosses the Piedmontese countryside.
On Thursday 30th the cars will cross the legendary Col de Turini pass and conclude the Cavalcade with a grand parade in Monaco and a final exhibition in the Place du Casino.
A Tour to follow and love, even if only platonically.
