China, limited circulation to Tesla

by admin

The Chinese government is restricting the use of Tesla vehicles for military, state-owned and key agency personnel, evoking fears that the US electric car maker could become a source of national security leaks. The Wall Street Journal writes it citing sources familiar with the dossier.

The move follows a safety review on Tesla vehicles, whose sensors – according to Chinese executives – could record images of surrounding places and provide other data on the use of cars, personal information on drivers and the list of telephone contacts synchronized with the cars.
