Collectibles, a Rolls Cullinan with the colors of Modena

by admin

ROMA – The passion for engines knows no bounds, especially if it then comes from the minds of wealthy collectors. The latest madness comes from England and precisely from the millionaire garage of Benjamin Treynor Sloss and his wife Christine, both fond of luxury cars customized according to their tastes and desires. Suffice this: thanks to the assets of the head of the family, Google’s vice president of engineering, they have created a collection of cars, mostly Ferrari and Rolls-Royce, whose value has been estimated at around 30 million dollars, about 25 million euros.

Well, through the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Los Gatos dealer, the latest personalized jewel has been delivered to the Sloss in these days, a Black Badge Cullinan with the colors of the Modena flag: blue for the bodywork – or rather Pikes Peak Blue to remember the famous uphill race in Colorado -, and yellow for the brake calipers and part of the interior leather upholstery. All masterfully crafted by Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke department specialists. There is no shortage of the characteristic silver-on-black RR monogram, dark window frames and personalized two-tone Black Badge wheels. Plus a particularly expensive detail: the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy figurine was carved from a block full of carbon fiber. But that’s not all: the door sill plates have been customized with a Physical Vapor Deposition process in black and then engraved to reveal the silver metal of the customer’s name – Benjamin – on the driver’s side, and Christine on the passenger side. The personal logo of his wife also appears on the door panels, which is used on his racing cars: a high-heeled shoe – the so-called stiletto – which in the Black Badge Cullinan has been embroidered in silver on the leather, inspired by a pair of stilettos equally precious, those made for Christine by Wicked Addiction with the colors of the Ferraris and the Scudetto with the Prancing Horse.

The two rich spouses also frequent the tracks, and in the non-professional races they line up their cars which are very recognizable because they are strictly painted with the colors of the Modena flag. In addition to the various supercars from Maranello, including a precious LaFerrari Aperta and a track FKK-K, in the Sloss garage in Los Altos, California, there is a yellow and blue Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge tailor-made in 2018 and delivered to the two billionaires by the CEO of the Goodwood House Torsten Muller-Otvos.
