Greta Gallotti went as far as Los Angeles to follow her dream, where she trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Sara Caprera, alongside her mother Laura Amelotti, began studying acting at a very young age until she arrived, more recently, on the stage of the San Babila theater in Milan. “Our dream – says Caprera – is to stage a theater of common life, made up of true stories, close and easily understandable, through the research of contemporary texts and testing new ways of understanding and experiencing the theatrical performance ».
A story of suffering
“Dolores” is taken from a work signed by the American Edward Allan Baker, already staged in Italy. It tells of the suffering of two sisters, Dolores and Sandra, who at some point are forced to deal with a problematic family past. In the background there is a story of family violence, a topical issue. «We are passionate about what we do – explains Gallotti -, we are also deeply convinced that culture must involve people of all ages, with different interests but united by the desire to open their eyes to what can awaken an emotion. Our goal is to make theater starting from engaging stories, in which we can recognize ourselves, carrying out a profound search for the truth of the characters we represent on stage ».
