Domodossola is ready to wear the Christmas party dress. Today (Saturday) afternoon the ceremony of lighting of the tree in Piazza Mercato. This is the first of the events promoted by the municipal administration. After the solo celebrations of 2020, this year the twinkle of the lights will be greeted with a party in the square, dedicated mainly to the children who will be around the fir tree. The show of waders, artists and jugglers is also dedicated to the little ones busy with the “Light Christmas” show. It will happen while Santa Claus will entertain the little ones who for the occasion will already be able to deliver the letter of wishes with the gifts to be found on December 25th.
Today we start at 4.30 pm, while the lighting of the tree is scheduled for around 6 pm, in the presence of the mayor Lucio Pizzi and the parish priest Don Vincenzo Barone. The representation of the nativity scene and a Christmas tree have also been placed in front of the collegiate church. All in anticipation of 18 and 19 December when the whole Borgo della Cultura will come alive with 130 market stalls. Covid has imposed a reduction in security spaces.
