A scary Easter to discover Dario Argento on display at the Cinema Museum. Or immersed in ancient history together with the heavenly Aida, perhaps enjoying a tea tasting or, again, solving riddles and mysteries among vintage cars. A weekend dedicated to art is always a great idea, especially on these festive days, including visits to the permanent collections, special exhibitions and events designed to learn while having fun, alone, in company and, for the little ones, with the family.
Indian tea and flowers
Starting with the Torino Musei Foundation, which until Monday will observe the non-stop time from 10 to 18. Palazzo Madama with “Invitation to Pompeii”, will welcome visitors by letting them enter the houses among the most representative and luxurious rooms of the first century. In addition, already today at 3.30 pm there will be a naturalistic guided tour of the “Medieval Botanical Garden”, a reconstruction of a green oasis of the late fifteenth century. La Gam, on the other hand, presents the exhibitions “Carlo Levi” 120 years after the artist’s birth with 30 paintings and other curiosities, and “A collection without borders. International art since 1990 ”which focuses on 56 works, many of which are rarely exhibited. The Mao will offer the opportunity to admire “Kakemono. Five centuries of Japanese painting. The Perino collection ”with 125 paintings, as well as precious fans and colored lacquers. In addition, today at 3 pm there will be an “art speed date” with a tasting of fine Indian teas.
Chills and magic
The National Cinema Museum, open these days from 9 to 19, will open its doors to “Dario Argento – The Exhibit”, the exhibition dedicated to the master of the thrill who shot numerous films in Turin. Instead, on Easter Monday at 5 pm there will be “Magie sull’screen”, a laboratory for special effects designed for the little ones. Even the Mauto pays special attention to children and, if from 10 to 19 he welcomes everyone with guided tours, on Monday at 16 he presents “Hunt for the clue! ”, A unique treasure hunt made up of riddles among the more than 200 cars on display. As well as the Pinacoteca Agnelli which, in addition to the possibility of admiring the numerous works, always on Monday, has a family tour entitled “Canaletto in a view” on its calendar, to go to the discovery of paintings with mum and dad.
Face to face with Leonardo
Rich program at the Royal Museums with some novelties such as the visit to the Archaeological Gallery with an unprecedented permanent section of the Museum of Antiquities dedicated to the civilizations of the Mediterranean with finds of rare beauty and inestimable historical value. Unmissable is “Face to face with Leonardo”, a renewed method of displaying the important nucleus of da Vinci’s works preserved in the Royal Library which will offer the opportunity to admire the extraordinary “Code on the flight of birds” and the 13 drawings, including which also the famous “Self-portrait”.

The Egyptian, in addition to its famous mummies and offering visitors a journey into over 4000 years of history, is currently hosting “Aida, daughter of two worlds”, an interesting itinerary to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera.
