Electric car, here is the startup for charging at restaurants, clubs and supermarkets

by admin

ROME – Not only large groups engaged in the development of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The implementation of the charging network, a fundamental condition for a mass diffusion of electrified vehicles, also involves a community called Gasgas, and is the work of three partners, the CEO Alessandro Vigilanti, the general manager Stefania Manguzzato and the board advisor Francesco Zorgno. The company, based in Milan, aims to install 126 charging points throughout the country, by 2022, in clubs, restaurants, gyms, supermarkets and locations of commercial interest.

In the meantime, the company, in whose capital there is also Seed Money (among the first private startup accelerators and incubators in Italy), is making full investments on CrowdFundMe, a Crowdinvesting platform (Equity Crowdfunding, Real Estate Crowdfunding and Private Debt) listed on Piazza Affari, where it launched a capital raising which, in two weeks, doubled its first economic target of one hundred thousand euros and is heading towards a closure (at the end of August) at 500,000 euros. The capital raised on CrowdFundMe will then be invested to build the community of members and drivers, and to develop a capillary network of charging stations for electric vehicles throughout Italy.

“The collaboration with CrowdFundMe has met expectations: not only are we attracting great interest from investors and business angels – said Alessandro Vigilanti – but we receive dozens of requests every day from owners of commercial or production activities who want to enter our program and have a Gasgas station on its site: we have certainly achieved a great demand from the market ”. The community, open to all European citizens, involving them in a membership plan that offers them the opportunity to propose the installation of columns at new points of interest, is taking shape every day. Currently, more than 500 electric vehicle users are enrolled in the program and almost 300 owners of commercial and production activities interested in installing the Gasgas charging stations (a brand that has nothing in common with the Spanish vehicle manufacturer of the same name off-road).

The company has also signed a partnership with BayWa re Operation Services, a company of the BayWa re Ag group that provides technical and monitoring services on renewable energy production plants and for the charging infrastructure of electric vehicles. “BayWa re offers its expertise and its organization to act as a strategic partner – underlined Paolo Chiantore managing director of BayWa re Operation Services – for the installation and maintenance of the Gasgas network on the national territory”.
