“With the new announcement – explains the councilor for Mobility and Traffic Luca Zanotto – we want to improve city electric micro-mobility to favor alternative means to the private car. The set of criteria identified is the result of the careful analysis carried out in this year and a half of experimentation. We believe that, with a view to enhancing sustainable mobility, electric scooters are a valid alternative to the use of private vehicles. But they must in no way be a source of danger to other road users or inconvenience to residents. We have developed an ad hoc call to provide the city with a service that is at the same time smart, safe, always traceable and respectful of both the city’s dignity and the rules of the highway code. Phase 3 provides for a limited number of operators and vehicles present, aiming at greater integration of the service with the rest of the city’s mobility. We ask companies that the users are identifiable with absolute precision and, in this, it could be useful to use the Spid that certifies the digital identity instead of the user profiles used up to now to access the service. There are many and significant innovations introduced, from areas where circulation is prohibited to dedicated parking lots, from geolocation to the 24-hour call center.
