The news came from the United States, it was given by Wwd with an “alert”: Elsa Peretti passed away at the age of 80, perhaps Tiffany’s most famous jewelry designer , the oldest American luxury brand, owned by the French giant LVMH since 2020.
She was 80 years old (she was born in Florence in 1940), but she continued to create for Tiffany and her collections always became best sellers at the time of release and then became long sellers (in the photo, two bracelets designed by Elsa Peretti).

Elsa Peretti had worked, still very young, as a model and had lived for many years in New York.
In 2019 Florence had dedicated an exhibition to her, The Modern Vision of Elsa Peretti, within the XII Florence Biennale d’Arte which told of her unique partnership with the Tiffany maison that lasted over 45 years. On 24 October of that year, she was also awarded the Leonardo da Vinci Lifetime Achievement Award for Jewelry and Fashion Design.
