José Neves, founder and CEO of Farfetch, has left the leadership of the shopping platform he launched in 2007. The news was released by the specialized newspaper Business of Fashion. Neves’ exit follows by about two months the announcement of the acquisition of Farfetch by the Korean e-commerce company Coupang, which saved the platform’s loss-making accounts by injecting about $500 million into it, and thus terminated the already bumpy path that would have brought Farfetch into the orbit of the Richemont group, which already owns the Ynap group. In recent days there have also been announcements of interruption of commercial relations with the platform by Kering and Neiman Marcus. Since its IPO in New York in 2018, Farfetch shares have lost around 96% of their value
