“The Rome Declaration of the G20 culture ministers was unanimously approved”. This was stated by the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini at the end of the work of the G20 of Culture at Palazzo Barberini in Rome.
“It is not a symbolic declaration, but a 32-point document that has been studied and shared in content for months among the countries. We have to be very proud of it. It will be talked about for many years as a starting point. Culture is introduced into the work of the G20 », Franceschini adds.
«We are very proud, we must be more so. We struggle to show our pride in our heritage – says the Minister of Culture -. It was a very rich debate and ended with a very important declaration, the ‘Rome declaration of the G20 ministers’, approved unanimously. The G20 of culture has been made permanent – he added – We have obtained, and we were very keen as Italy, the commitment of all members to field national forces at the top of Unesco to defend cultural heritage ”
