Free2Move, mobility that goes beyond: here is the monthly subscription car

by admin

ROME – “We started in 2016 and in five years we have learned a lot. Today Free2Move is able to offer attractive solutions and generate profit, which is not common in the world of new mobility. This allows us to launch new services in an increasing number of countries in Europe and the USA. However, all built around the car, which is firmly at the center of our activities ”. Speaking is Brigitte Courtehoux, world number one of Free2Move, the brand of the Stellantis group dedicated to new mobility, nominated this year by Frost & Sullivan as “New mobility marketplace company of the year”.

The absolute novelty for Italy is represented by the launch of Free2Move Car On Demand, a service available from 2 November 2021 and intended for individuals and professionals that allows you to have a subscription car at a predefined monthly cost and with no commitment of duration. In addition to Italy, the new formula is also launched simultaneously in Germany, the United Kingdom and Portland in the United States. Free2Move’s Car On Demand is already a notable success in France, Spain, Portugal and in the Los Angeles and Washington areas of the USA.

“With the launch of Free2Move Car On Demand we add an important piece to our offer in Italy – says the global CEO of the company Brigitte Courtehoux – not limiting ourselves to models of the Stellantis group but also including cars of other brands that are attracting the interest of potential clients”. The offer for our market immediately includes the Suzuki Vitara Hybrid and the Peugeot 3008 starting from 520 euros per month including VAT which include maintenance, insurance, home delivery, assistance and 1,250 kilometers of travel. “In the countries where it is present, Free2Move Car On Demand has already had a total of more than 110,000 rental requests in 2021, with a 97% customer recommendation rate” – says Elodie Picard, Sales and Marketing Director of Free2Move Mobility.

The offer of Free2Move mobility solutions includes car sharing, short, medium and long-term car rental, booking of journeys with driver, parking, charging stations for electric cars. All through the single Free2Move app and always managing the electronic payment directly, without redirecting requests to external applications. The brand’s activities concern solutions for the management of corporate fleets and for the energy transition, including the design and development of products and services for electric mobility. In the electric sector, Free2Move deals with infrastructures, monthly subscriptions for recharging, integration of vehicle-to-grid technology for the energy exchange between the car and the electricity grid, management of the battery life cycle.

After only five years of life and thanks to the rigidly auto-centric strategy outlined by the CEO Brigitte Courtehoux, the Stellantis brand dedicated to new mobility has two million users, 400,000 rental vehicles, 500,000 parking spaces, 250,000 recharging points and 600,000 corporate contracts in the 170 countries in the world where it is present.

In the European cities of Paris, Madrid, Lisbon and Denver, Washington and Portland in the United States, the Free2Move brand is also present with a car sharing service operated with a free scheme, i.e. with the possibility of picking up and releasing the car at unscheduled points. It is therefore to be expected that in the next few years the offer of car sharing cars will also arrive in Italy and in particular in large cities. “The direct management of the car sharing service by Free2Move is foreseen in the metropolises – confirms Brigitte Courtehoux – but our services will also arrive in medium and small cities thanks to agreements with local entrepreneurs interested in franchising contracts”.
