From Queen to Negrita, when music in the car makes the difference

by admin

ROME – “Sing that passes you”. If, as popular wisdom goes, a song were enough to make things better then we would always be singing, but once we stop, in the car, what kind of music do Italians like to listen to? CarNext, a pan-European online marketplace, must have wondered about how Italians listen to music behind the wheel, especially on summer trips.

The research found that 50% of respondents choose radio rather than music streaming apps (40.3%), and the volume must not exceed a certain threshold, so much so that 60.9% lower it, especially in about to park, and 27.6% even before taking the motorway exit to make sure you take the correct one. The out of tune then confess to torment their travel companions with thrilling performances (29.1%), while the restless who constantly change song without leaving it for more than 10 seconds reach 26%. Then there are the songs that give the charge and even the Formula 1 driver, Max Verstappen, CarNext ambassador, has his favorite, or “Summer Days” by Martin Garrix, hit of 2019 that the fresh winner of the Monaco Grand Prix 2021 always listens with pleasure.

For 43% of the sample, on the other hand, the holidays officially begin with “Don’t stop me now” by Queen and for 30% with “Rolling towards South” by Negrita, while the forecasts for this summer see the new featuring by Takagi favor. & Ketra (39%) “Shimmy Shimmy” with Giusy Ferreri. Among the stainless hits we find “The Rhythm of the Night” by Corona (33.6%) also thanks to the recent remix of Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Lopez, “50 Special” by Lùnapop (36%), and for the little ones they go crazy Baby Shark and the timeless “Nonna Pina’s Tagliatelle”. Among the favorites of solo trips, the Maneskin’s “Torna a casa” (29%), Pino Daniele’s “Je so ‘Pazzo” (41%) and Achille Lauro’s “Me ne frego” (23.2%) stand out. The summer then inexorably ends and then melancholy rises, abandoning yourself to singing songs in the car such as “Summer” by Negramaro or “I don’t know how to explain” by Tiziano Ferro. (mr)
