Miamo Academy was born in 2018, as an academy to strengthen the skills of pharmacists and consultants in the dermocosmetic world by involving all departments, from ethics to dermocosmetic. After two years of pandemic, in which the training course has never stopped, transferring it to digital platforms, and in 2022 the academy becomes phygital.

Objective: to train experts in the field of functional cosmetics, implement new work tools, increase knowledge with targeted training. Pharmacists, heads of the dermocosmetic departments, beauticians and collaborators will have the opportunity to learn techniques to build customer loyalty, increase the volume of sales through cross selling, from cosmetics to drugs or supplements, also learning to digitize advice and consultancy .

The academy is structured in a series of meetings, each of which is divided into 4 modules (Dermatology fundamentals, Cosmetic science, Consumer needs and Action in store and digital transformation) in which the teachers will provide the basics of cosmetology and dermatology alongside practical strategies of marketing to bring innovation to pharmacies.

The next meeting will take place on 13 September 2022 with a day dedicated to the skin benefits and risks due to sun exposure and protective cosmetic formulations. The theme of the body will also be treated with particular mention of dry skin, water retention, stretch marks and loss of tone. We will talk more in depth about dermocosmetics and the opportunity of the pharmacy to move from a health center to a service center for the person.
