Gong Li and director Lou Ye, actors Zhang Songwen and Zhao Youting had a conversation about “Movies and Us”. “Red Sorghum” kicked off Gong Li’s brilliant screen career, but she frankly admitted that her “opening up” to the performance began with “Qiuju’s Lawsuit”. She said that the shooting at the time was a bit like “candid shooting”. The photographer didn’t know where, and the director had no hints. But it is precisely this method of shooting that gives Gong Li a high degree of freedom in performance. “After that movie, I feel that my perception of the image and the relationship between the camera are different.” The shooting of “Lanxin Theater” also gave Gong Li a feeling similar to that of the past.
When asked about her understanding of acting skills, Gong Li was a little confused for a while.
