The specially developed system allows for the collection and analysis of tire performance data and is thus able to identify a slow drop in tire pressure many days before the dedicated Tpms system warning light turns on and the tire pressure drops. below the recommended one. The operation requires that the vehicle data provided in real time by Voyomotive’s telematic systems, are processed by Goodyear software, to create warnings of tire pressure drops and reports relating to tire pressure, sent to customers via the Voyomotive app or SMS messages, or to the fleet management department. According to Goodyear, this system, currently active in the United States, can offer an advantage in tire maintenance and a pressure monitoring solution that can increase the efficiency and safety of the vehicle. With the data from these smart tires, customers can proactively address anomalies while maintaining optimal inflation pressure, thereby achieving the best performance in terms of mileage and tire usage.
