Eric Cheng wanted us to create a watch with a bold design, strong personality and vitality that would gradually develop a patina over time,” revealed Edouard. This bespoke watch features a black tiger camouflage patterned smoked dial. This pattern, a favorite of UNDEFEATED, requires multiple layers of varnish to create the dial tone after engraving. The lacquer is then surface-finished to achieve H. Moser & Cie.’s signature smokey effect. In fine watchmaking, details are always the key to great success. The Speeder Chronograph UNDEFEATED Special Edition combines perfect proportions, sleek shapes and superb Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship. Like other models in the Speeder series, this new chronograph also echoes the name of the series with a smooth curve – the first high-speed trains that appeared in the 1920s and 1930s. Grey scales wrap around the edge of the dial, with the outer track measuring the seconds and the inner track counting the minutes. The black rhodium-plated stainless steel UNDEFEATED logo at 12 o’clock perfectly echoes the three applied numeral hour markers. A discreet light grey H. Moser & Cie. logo is adorned directly below. The chronograph central hand for precise measurement has a contrasting wide end and a very thin tip, similar to the design of the hands of a car instrument or a measuring instrument. UNDEFEATED and the Manufacture chose to make the hour and minute hands in a three-dimensional curved shape. The hands are divided into two parts, covered with anthracite Globolight® inlays, and made of an innovative ceramic base material with Super-LumiNova® luminous material.
