More of 619,000 tourists Non-residents visited Argentina in April, representing a year-on-year increase of 105.2% and a historical record for that monthaccording to the latest report from the National Directorate of Markets and Statistics of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation.
Meanwhile, during the same period, there were more than 531,000 trips of Argentine tourists abroad.
In this way, the country resumes the surplus in its tourist balanceone of the objectives set by the Ministry led by Matías Lammens, as occurred in November and December 2022.
“We are no longer talking about recovery but about the growth of international tourism, which is essential to generate foreign exchange and employment throughout the country,” said Lammens.
“These figures reflect the articulated work with Aerolíneas Argentinas and the ambitious plan that we have been carrying out to promote our destinations in strategic markets around the world,” he added.

As officially reported, international tourism exceeded pre-pandemic levels in April 2023, a trend that continued through May.
