ROME – The decline in diesel and petrol cars continues in Europe. For diesel, the decline was 31.4% in March and 46.9% in the quarter, with a share of 10.8% in the month and 11.4% in the three months, while sales of petrol cars they fell by 10% in March with a 48.4% share and lost 28.4% in the cumulative, with a 49.2% share. Plug-in hybrid cars, on the other hand, recorded the highest growth ever in terms of volumes, + 152.2% in the month (6.1% share) and + 93.6% in the quarter, with 6.3 % of the market. In March, three-digit growth for diesel mild-hybrids, + 127.5% and petrol-powered mild-hybrids, + 140.9%, while full-hybrids closed at + 42%. Full-hybrids have been growing since the beginning of the year
of 11.6% with a share of 7.4%, diesel mild-hybrids increase by 88% and are worth 7.6% of the market and, finally, petrol-driven mild-hybrids increase by 101% and are worth 10.7% of the market.
