ALEXANDRIA. The focus is on research projects that are increasingly integrated between the University of Eastern Piedmont and the hospital in Alessandria. “All this – said yesterday Leonardo Marchese, director of the Department of Science and Technological Innovation (Disit), at the end of the XV Scientific Day – also interests us in perspective, given that we are within a path for the recognition of Irccs, a scientific hospitalization and treatment institute. The collaboration between the university, and in particular our department, and the hospital is strategic. We have activated the new degree course in Medicine and Surgery in Alessandria and there are many active research projects ».

They are, to be precise, 24, as recalled by the biologist director of the hospital Annalisa Roveta, who works together with Marta Betti. «One of the most important – continues Marchese -, which started on November 1st and is on the study of emerging pollutants, the famous Pfas. There is a 13 million euro loan. And we are talking about a far-reaching project: there are fourteen European partners, including the hospital company ».
