The world‘s first make-up pencil that sticks after use has arrived. Launched in world premiere and in limited edition in Italy by the Danish Sprout, already known for having created the only planable drawing pencils. The company takes a new step forward to give a second life to everyday products that take care of the environment with 100% sustainable innovations, this time aimed at the cosmetics industry that produces 120 billion tons of waste every year plastics and facing the challenge of improving the environmental impact of its products.

The pencil was previewed in a limited version in 3 countries, Italy, Sweden and Denmark. Italy was chosen both for the size of its market, one of the largest in Europe, and for its sensitivity and growing demand for green products by consumers. The product will gradually be made available in other countries around the world, in the second half of the year. For the wider marketing of the pencil, protected by patent, certified against allergies, free of chemicals and also suitable for vegans, Sprout is also open to synergies with possible partners in cosmetics.

The novelty is an eyeliner with a capsule at the end containing some seeds. Just plant the pencil upside down, once it has become too short to be used, and after a few days beautiful wild flowers will be born. Contains only natural ingredients, without microplastics, certified against allergies and enriched with natural oils, produced in Europe and in a socially responsible way.

The idea was born in the company, where however approx 80% of employees are women, during a creative workshop in which it was the workers who pointed out that among the products of daily use, which each one always had with her, there was a makeup pencil and in particular the eye pencil. The next step is the launch of the eyebrow pencil, also plantable, expected in summer.

Founded in 2013 by Danish entrepreneur Michael Stausholm with the mission of build a more sustainable way to consume and produce starting from everyday life, Sprout distributes in 80 countries, Italy in the lead, and is used by many companies, from Coca-Cola to Ikea, from Nestlè to Marriott, among its fans also Michelle Obama and Richard Branson. One of the most important customers is the Arma dei Carabinieri which uses its pencils as gadgets in schools and during events on environmental issues or conventions.
