Japanese singer MISIA to Hold Benefit Concert for Earthquake-Stricken Areas in Taiwan

Japanese singer MISIA has announced that she will be holding a special event in Tokyo on May 31st to help the earthquake-stricken areas in Taiwan. The live performance, titled “MISIA PEACEFUL PARK with Vivian Hsu Hualien at Billboard Live TOKYO Support Hualien~Pray and Donate~Premium Night”, will feature Taiwanese artist Vivian Hsu as a guest, with part of the proceeds being donated to help the victims.

Originally scheduled to hold the “MISIA Starry Night XII” concert in Taipei on April 4, MISIA was forced to cancel the performance due to a 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Hualien, Taiwan on April 3rd. In a message of condolences issued in both Japanese and Traditional Chinese, MISIA expressed her deep sorrow for those affected by the disaster and pledged to visit Taiwan again in the future to perform. She also prayed for the safety of all those impacted and for a speedy recovery for the affected areas.

Through her official Instagram account, MISIA announced the upcoming benefit concerts, stating that part of the proceeds will go towards helping those affected by the earthquake. She also revealed that Taiwanese artist Viv Hsu will be joining her as a special guest for the event, with the two planning a special performance to further support the earthquake victims.
