ROME – Jeep 4xe technology conquers the leadership of the Italian market for Plug-In Hybrid models. This new technology represents the evolution of 4 × 4 in terms of greater sustainability, efficiency and even more safety and driving pleasure. The 4xe plug-in hybrid solution is available both on the “made in Italy” Compass and Renegade SUVs (the best-selling rechargeable cars in Italy in their respective segments), and on the unstoppable Wrangler, for which the 4xe plug-in hybrid model has accounted for over 70% of sales on our market in the past six months.
Overall, in 2021, Jeep reached a share of 4.4% in Italy, an increase compared to 2020 and was the leading brand of the UV (Utility vehicle) market in the second half of the year and achieved absolute leadership in the Lev market (Low emission vehicles). Jeep, thanks to all the rechargeable cars “on plug”, Battery Electric Vehicle and Plug-In Hybrid (Renegade 4xe, Compass 4xe and Wrangler 4xe) conquered an 11.2% share.
