After hosting an unusual live broadcast on Apple Music,Fans of Kanye West still seem to have to wait until August 6 to listen to his tenth new album “Donda” on the music streaming platform. On July 24, former basketball player and social network celebrity Justin Laboy said on Twitter that Kanye has changed the release date of “Donda” to August 6.

The reason for the postponement is that Kanye didn’t want to be too eager for quick success in order to deliver the best works to fans. Earlier in the day, Laboy also hinted that the album will be available on multiple streaming services.

Even if a live broadcast event had been held on Apple Music earlier, the multi-platform release of “Donda” would not be unexpected.

Laboy pointed out that although many of the albums that land on Apple Music have a certain degree of exclusivity, we still hope to enjoy them on competitive platforms such as Spotify and Tidal.

[Background Information]During the Apple Music event (and live streaming) held at the Meiben Stadium in Atlanta, Kanye was delayed for about 110 minutes before opening.

In addition, for 48 minutes, Kanye just walked on the stage and played the new album, without talking or doing any performance.
