Kiko Milano accelerates on corporate social responsibility

Kiko Milano accelerates on corporate social responsibility and confirms the collaboration with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation, a partnership to which, over the next few years, other initiatives will be added for new projects in other areas of intervention.

After the “Love, choose prevention” campaign linked to Ray of Love, the limited edition of Valentine’s Day 2021, Kiko Milano confirms its willingness to collaborate with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation also for 2022. The project is part of Kiko Kares, the plan of corporate social responsibility that the brand has decided to undertake in order to grow in a sustainable and responsible way.

In particular, the collaboration with the Veronesi Foundation is part of KikoKontributes, the pillar of the company’s CSR plan dedicated to well-being and health of people which has also seen the realization of several other projects over the last year.

In 2021, with the “Love yourself, choose prevention” campaign, part of the proceeds from the Ray of Love collection were donated to the Foundation in order to finance two researchers for one year: Marta Celegato, engaged in the study of some molecules that could prevent the formation of tumors by papillomaviruses and Federica Scalorbi, who aims to study tumors of the uterine cervix thanks to radiomics and genomics techniques to understand which are the characteristics of the most cancers aggressive.

The collaboration also made it possible to carry out a targeted and concrete action regarding the prevention of HPV-related cancer, through the awareness campaign carried out in the Kiko Milano stores which reached approximately 3 million customers. In addition, the company will continue to offer free Pap tests to all female employees.
