Lamborghini Huracán STO, from the track to the videogame

by admin

SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE – At the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán STO, but sitting comfortably on the sofa at home. It is possible thanks to the debut of the latest addition to the V10 del Toro range on Rocket League, a videogame winner of over 150 “Best Game Awards” worldwide. The production company, Psyonix, chose the Huracán STO both for its unique design inspired by Lamborghini racing cars and for its benchmark performance, i.e. a top speed of 310 km / h and a sprint from 0 to 100 in 3 seconds.

However, the virtual version of the Huracán STO is only available from today until April 27, and will be used to compete in the Battle of the Bulls during the Rocket League Championship Series X Lamborghini Open, of which the Sant’Agata Bolognese house is an official sponsor.

The “Battle of the Bulls” will be played in a group of five matches from 23 to 25 and fans will be able to follow it live on Twitch. The best drivers will compete in a one-on-one series and each of the winners will be awarded a prize of $ 5,000. The package purchased includes the car in Blu Laufey and Orange California with different liveries and customization possibilities. Completing the whole is the roar of the engine, two sets of tires, and the exclusive systems developed by Psyonix “Huracán STO Player Banner” and “Antenna”.

“The debut of Huracán STO in the Rocket League world is a further step in Lamborghini’s digital strategy, which in 2020 entered eSports with its own single-brand championship”, explains Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “Gaming and simulation are phenomena of great interest for the automotive industry, important for involving the new generations and making our cars even more known to young people”.
