Federica Napoletano answers the phone in the middle of the boxes of a move, the one that allows her to close the Milan showroom for a few weeks. Between parcels and packages he tells me the story of his brand, born in 2013 for the desire to devote himself to a new sector. Graduated in Communication Sciences with a Master in Marketing achieved in Argentina, after years in the sales of large groups such as RCS, Mondadori and CondĆØ Nast, Federica began studying shoe modeling, first with different courses and then following an annual course.
Thus he began to design shoes, sandals in detail, and created the Lanapo brand by renting a first shop in Monterosso, in the Cinque Terre.

Ā«I knew the area, going to Levanto for wind surfing – he says – and I decided to create handmade sandals, in the wake of what happens in Capri or Saint Tropez. But the business grew immediately, also through other shops that asked me to be able to sell my products, so I chose to leave my job in Milan and change my life Ā».
Now Lanapo has single-brand stores in Monterosso, Bonassola, Santa Margherita Ligure, a pop up in Levanto and a showroom in Milan. The collection can be found in the windows of about eighty stores around the world, from department stores such as La Rinascente, Printemps in France, but also trendy boutiques.
Today the turnover is around half a million euros with an annual production of about 7-8 thousand pairs of shoes.
