The Golden Bell Award for Chinese Music was established in 2001. It was approved by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and was jointly sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Music Association. It is held every two years and is the only permanent music in the country. The world comprehensive awards, the art awards alongside the Drama Plum Blossom Award, TV Golden Eagle Award, and Film Golden Rooster Award, have been held for 12 sessions.

Throughout the entire schedule of the Golden Bell Awards, Li Jiawei sang “Years and Years”, “Countrymen in the World“, “Farewell to Dong Da”, “Rising in the Day”, “Glory Shining Forever”, “Raise Your Head to Life and Death” , “Arirang Suite” seven different types of music, her performance not only conquered the audience, but also won the appreciation of the judges and teachers. In the semifinals, Li Jiawei won the first place in the semifinals with a high score of 97.36. In the final, he won the unanimous high score of the judges with a good score of 98.20. After the game, some judges commented on Li Jiawei: “As an excellent young singer, Li Jiawei not only thinks about how to perform songs emotionally and technically, but also has excellent stage performance. It is reported that this Golden Bell Award competition is Li Jiawei’s fourth participation. She said, “The competition is a test of the players’ psychological quality. A big mistake. The four Golden Bell Awards and eight years of the competition may have allowed me to gain this honor today. The Golden Bell Awards of Chinese Music is really a grand gathering of masters, selected by universities and colleges in various places. The players are all very good. In 2019, Li Jiawei entered the Shanghai Opera House Choir as an opera chorus. She said: “Every rehearsal is an opportunity to learn. I have learned a lot from the singing and performances of famous singers at home and abroad as well as the outstanding singers in the school. I have accumulated a lot of experience on stage. Vocal performance just needs a stage, and the Shanghai Opera House Choir also gave me many good opportunities to follow the theater to tour all over the country and let me truly feel the charm of opera art. “

After winning the trophy, what Li Jiawei said the most was thanks: “I am very satisfied and content with this achievement. It has not been easy for eight years. I still have many shortcomings that I need to continue to study and study in the future. For example, I am in folk songs. There are still many shortcomings in singing. Next, I will use my free time to go deep into ethnic minority areas and learn to sing with folk artists. I will sing better works by combining the characteristics of national folk singing while singing with scientific vocal methods.
