ROME – Seventeen minutes and twenty-eight seconds, that was enough to make the fifty My Ami Buggy sold out exclusively on the French Citroen website from midnight on Tuesday 21 June to become “sold out”. In short, it was a real record for the special edition of the saucy electric compact of the transalpine house on which many enthusiasts would have liked to put in their garage. Probably since the double chevron brand announced the release of this limited series, potential buyers will have undergone hard training to become the fastest to secure one of the specimens offered for sale.
It is no coincidence that the fastest user completed the entire purchase process of his My Ami Buggy on the French site in just 2 minutes and 53 seconds and will receive one of the 50 numbered versions, personalized with his name, in the second half of August . Since its inception, Citroën Ami – 100% ëlectric has offered a completely digitalized purchasing procedure: from the discovery of the product characteristics, to the formalization of the order, to the payment and the scheduling of delivery, everything is done online on the dedicated website.

On the other hand, the great enthusiasm shown by the public towards the concept car with an adventurous style, unveiled in December last year, prompted Citroën to create a limited edition, to respond to this strong demand. In practice, more than 1,800 people have expressed their desire to buy this new exclusive version of Ami, so this explains why the only 50 copies available were wiped out in the blink of an eye.
The success of the Citroën Ami – 100% ëlectric in the standard version is however remarkable, just think that since its launch on the market, which took place in France in April 2020, it has already won over 21,000 users in the Old Continent. The enthusiasm generated by this limited edition of My Ami Buggy is a clear demonstration of the strong interest of the public towards exclusive versions of this small and original means of mobility, thus giving good hope that in the future we will still see new special series.
