New York street brand Walker Wear filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Off-White™ for “WW”

by admin

According to The Fashion Law, Walker Wear, a New York streetwear brand founded 30 years ago, officially filed a trademark infringement against Off-White™. Walker Wear claims that the $2,234 Off-White™ jacket has almost the same logo as Walker Wear WW XXL Athletic. Design, and then pointed out that some customers mistakenly believed that it was designed by Walker Wear founder April Walker himself.

The lawsuit reads: “Given Ms. Walker’s iconic status in the streetwear and fashion industry and Mr. Abloh’s knowledge of the industry, Off-White must have known the logo before designing, producing and selling infringing outerwear.” Walker Wear said. The New York General Business Law § 349 stipulates that Off-White™ can claim monetary compensation. This regulation is to prevent deceptive and misleading business practices.
