Francesco Giambrone is the new superintendent of the Rome Opera. The designation, announced several times by rumors, took place this morning at the meeting of the theater’s steering committee, which is chaired by the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri. As per procedure, the designation was then sent to the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini who will make the nomination decree. Giambrone, currently superintendent of Massimo di Palermo, succeeds Carlo Fuortes, now CEO of Rai.
