This Wednesday it was learned that the Ministry of Justice ordered the intervention, for 180 business days, from the Institute for Strategic Studies in Civil Association Security (IEES), an entity that is chaired by Patricia Bullrich. The place had been investigated for months because the campaign of the pre-candidate of Together for Change was financed through donations.

The PRO referent herself blamed her electoral opponent, Sergio Massa, for the action taken by the National Government. She assured that with this measure the Government seeks “to pay attention to his disastrous management.”

Through her Twitter account, the PRO benchmark remarked: “I want to share with people that we are strong, because the attacks will continue in the coming weeks. They seek to draw attention to their disastrous management and the misery generated by Kirchnerism.

Why was Patricia Bullrich’s foundation intervened?

The Government intervened in the foundation of the presidential candidate of Together for Change due to alleged irregularities.

As published in Página/12, the intervention was requested by the Inspector General of Justice (IGJ), Ricardo Nissen, that it had initiated an investigation process after a complaint for “irregularities” presented by deputy Rodolfo Tailhade, as revealed by Página/12.

From that complaint, the controlling body determined that, indeed, “from the IEES actions outside its corporate purpose were deployed and it was used for purposes other than those for which it was granted authorization to operate”, according to a statement from the portfolio headed by Martín Soria.

Accounting and administrative irregularities were also detected: There was an exponential growth in the income and expenses of the IEES, going in a few months from not having funds to cover current expenses, to collecting more than 90 million pesos”, added the official information.

This is the foundation that Bullrich used to finance his campaign and that, however, it was registered for other purposes and functions.
