The brand of the long P thus won the title of the first company in the world to produce a line of tires certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (Fsc). An important step in the search for greater sustainability in all industrial sectors, so much so that the company specifies how these tires contain FSC certified natural rubber and rayon, representing a new milestone towards an increasingly sustainable production. Obtaining the FSC forest management certification means confirming that plantations are managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local communities and workers, while ensuring economic sustainability. Furthermore, the complex certification process of the FSC chain of custody verifies that, along the transformation chain from the plantation to the tire manufacturer, the FSC certified material has been identified and separated from the non-certified material.
To meet the performance requirements of the Munich manufacturer for this car model, as well as contributing to the green vocation of the hybrid engine, the P Zero tire was developed by Pirelli with the Perfect Fit strategy. The low rolling resistance (A value of the European label) also contributes to the environmental sustainability of this tire, which will be produced exclusively in the Pirelli factory in Rome (Georgia), which allows to limit fuel consumption and related emissions. .
