The original Pokemon game was released in 1996. While we’ve seen various sequels released over the years, the first-gen Pokémon still has its loyal fan base. One member of this group recently had a bold idea of what a remake of the first generation of “Pokémon” would look like in his mind.
Twitter user Pokeyugami recently released a video of a remake of the original Pokémon project, showing the forest scene in the opening part of the game. Players who are still impressed by the original game will remember that this is the habitat of insect-type Pokémon, and you can also catch electric-type Pokémon, such as Pikachu. In this self-made video, we can see the scene of Pokemon wandering back and forth in the grass, and there is also a picture of the protagonist talking to the elf trainer.
This video has now more than 2 million views and nearly 40,000 retweets. Many players said they needed a remake like this, not a Pokémon legend set in the Kanto area. Of course, “Pokémon Legend: Arceus” has been a great success on NS, but it is not known whether Nintendo has any plans to revisit the first-generation classic. It is possible that this can only stay in the imagination of the player in the end.
