Porsche “electrifies” the management – the Republic

by admin

MILAN – Surely the founder Ferdinand Porsche could only be happy: in fact, he is responsible for one of the first and most futuristic electric cars (the Lohner-Porsche of 1900) in history and therefore must be considered a pioneer also in electrification.

The thought that great Porsche managers have to drive around in battery-powered cars is therefore not so surprising; in fact, the company claims that the current “electrified” range is vast and diversified enough to satisfy any need for representation and even personal taste.

It is not really a diktat: the program foresees that by the end of the year at least half of the fleet ordered in Stuttgart and Weissach (the main offices where the great Porsche managers operate) must be battery-powered, fully electric or plug-in. in; thus leaving the possibility that the other 50% may require a traditional combustion model.

However, the path indicated by the company is precise and the objective is in any case to achieve “neutrality in CO2 emissions”; for this reason, Porsche is also continuing to study the production of synthetic fuels (the so-called eFuel), so that one can feel “sustainable” and politically correct while using a very classic 911.
