Renault, electric car record

by admin

ROMA – Electric car record for Renault. Since the launch of its zero-emission range, the French manufacturer has sold 20,600 electric vehicles in Italy, of which 11,000 Zoe E-TECH Electric. A result that gratifies the choices made by the brand in this sector from 2011 to today and that assigns it the podium in the Italian market.

In the first four months of 2021, Renault registered 3,580 cars and commercial vehicles in Italy, with a share of 19.2% and an increase of 164% compared to the first four months of last year. The ZOE E-Tech Elgectric quantified 1,650 units, while the Twingo E-Tech Electric 1,782.

Already last December, Renault brought important numbers to the European market. With 95,985 units sold from January to the end of November, the lozenge brand placed itself at the top of the sector’s ranking in the Old Continent with an increase of 80% compared to the previous year.

Renault’s strategy is based on E-TECH technology, which includes the 100% electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid range. From 2030, Renault expects 90 percent of its sales to be zero-emission vehicles.
