The movie Requiem, adapted from Zhou Daxin’s novel of the same name, will be released on March 25. On February 27, the film premiered in Beijing with the theme of “Only Love Lasts”. Actors Wei Zi, Qiang Yu, Luan Leiying, Zhang Li and Shan Guanchao appeared to communicate with fans. Tie Ning, chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, Yan Jingming and Chen Yan, the vice-chairmen of the Chinese Writers Association, as well as writers Chen Jiangong, Cao Wenxuan and other experts from the literary, film, publishing, and press circles attended the event.

“Requiem” tells the story of Tang Dao (played by Wei Zi) and his wife Ruiying (played by Chen Jin) when they parted from their love son, a young man who looks exactly like his son suddenly appeared, and then began a spiritual dialogue that went straight to the heart, showing A father misses his son dearly.

“Requiem” director Hyuga Terataro once directed “Grave of the Fireflies”, and another work “Eel” by screenwriter Motobu Bukawa won the best picture at the Cannes Film Festival. Due to the epidemic, the two were unable to come to the scene, but they brought greetings from thousands of miles away and told the audience about the opportunity to contact the film and the original intention of creation. They said that the thoughts of their loved ones are the same all over the world, and the creators want to convey the vision of cherishing the moment through this film.
