ROME – Following the health emergency, the car is increasingly the protagonist of individual and corporate mobility, as it represents a means of transport capable of offering greater safety and flexibility. And to ensure the safety of all its customers, Alphabet Italy has started the implementation of a car sanitation system that will allow drivers and fleet managers to use the cars more safely. The company providing the group’s corporate mobility services Bmw, thus enriches the offer of “Zero Pensieri” services and thanks to the partnership with Octo Telematics launches Alphabet CleanAir, the new automatic sanitization system for the cars in its fleet.
The Alphabet CleanAir sanitation service uses the most effective solution on the market today and the system developed by Octo uses nanotechnology originally developed by NASA to eliminate viruses, bacteria, fungi as well as odors and volatile organic compounds with the aim of making the use of all cars. The Octo solution uses Photocatalythic Oxidation, assisted by a bipolar ionization system: the system, totally odorless, is active and effective for sanitizing both the air in the passenger compartment and the surfaces exposed to contact with passengers, maintaining, unlike of other technologies, a total harmlessness. This system, at the same time, protects the passenger compartment from any negative effects on on-board equipment, as there is no production of ozone or other chemical agents harmful to living beings.
The device, with its small dimensions, can be easily installed on any vehicle and is inserted under the glove compartment, integrating perfectly into the context of the passenger compartment. Activation takes place automatically when the car starts and constantly sanitizes the environment while driving. Furthermore, at the end of each journey a complete sanitization cycle is always activated automatically to restore the hygienic conditions necessary for a new use.
