Prima Diffusa is back, the event that accompanies the inauguration of La Scala and brings neighborhoods and citizens closer to the opera with which the grand theater season opens. For ten years – eleven, counting the forced break due to the pandemic – it has affected a total of more than 200,000 spectators. “An idea that has grown a lot over time – defined the new Councilor for Culture of the Municipality, Tommaso Sacchi – one of the first major projects of cultural participation and social inclusion, which paved the way for other highly successful initiatives”. And the superintendent Dominique Meyer, at his first “Diffusa”, pointed out that to appreciate the work “you don’t need to be prepared, rich, beautiful and cultured. This music is open to everyone, but we need to facilitate the first step, to get in touch with people ».

As always with the contribution of Edison, this time it starts on December 1st and ends on December 12th, with an increase in the number of seats available in the theaters that on the 7th, from 6 pm, will screen live the “Macbeth” directed by Riccardo Chailly. From nine thousand in 2019 it has gone to ten thousand, concentrated in 34 locations, from Santeria a Mare Urbano, from Pirellone to the Conservatory, from the “Enzo Jannacci” shelter to Carcano (with interventions by Lella Costa and Francesco Micheli), from the Foundation Feltrinelli at the Franco Cerri Auditorium in via Valvassori Peroni; as well as in the prisons of San Vittore and Opera and at the Puntozero Theater of the Beccaria juvenile prison (complete list and all information on www.yesmilano.it). The screenings will all be free with reservation required and will be preceded by listening guides edited by Accademia Teatro alla Scala (from 4.30pm).
