Staff at work for the 2021 edition of the Catania Book Festival

Catania – After a difficult year, in which the cultural sector has been left to itself, the time has come to start again and to do it with commitment and safety. The importance of an event like the Catania Book Festival, which already involved almost 2,000 participants last year, is undeniable and the staff is already working to organize the 2021 edition, which will be held from 21 to 23 May, but has already anticipated some interesting news for all lovers of the world of reading, music and culture. The first novelty of this 2021 is the launch of the Catania Book Club, the official community of the Catania Book Festival that provides access to dozens of exclusive meetings and many new features.

The interviews, which will begin on Saturday 6 March with “About Sex” by Marco Cavalli and Alessandro Zaltron (Mondadori), will be moderated by journalists Sandy Sciuto and Simone Lemmo. The Catania Book Festival team is expanding to face new challenges and the staff now avails itself of the support of three CBF Ambassadors: the bookseller Valentina Agosta (coordinator of the bookstore section), prof. Maria Antonietta Ferraloro (coordinator of the schools section) and the Greek scholar Giusi Norcia (coordinator of the reading section of the Catania Book Club). Furthermore, the call open to those wishing to apply to become a volunteer of the Catania Book Festival and discover the behind the scenes of the Catania Book and Culture Festival will close shortly.
