Supreme opens in Milan and celebrates the event with a T-shirt featuring Leonardo’s Last Supper

by admin

The famous red and white logo together with an Italian flag: with this graphic, launched with a post on Instagram, Supreme has announced the opening of its first Italian store, which will be in Milan, in Corso Garibaldi 20. The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday 6 May, and the Milan store will be the brand’s 13th in the world.

Construction began last year, but the pandemic has delayed the expected opening. The Milan opening had actually been in the streetwear brand’s plans for some time, as the name of the city had appeared on the Metallic Jacquard jersey, part of the spring-summer 2019 collection, along with the other cities where Supreme had, or would have had a shop: “Milan”, in fact, was together with New York, Paris, Tokyo and London.

As a tribute to the city, with the opening a T-shirt will be launched with the image of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, one of the most representative works of art in the city.

The streetwear brand founded by James Jebbia in Manhattan in 2014, was taken over in November 2020 by the US group Vf Corp for 2.1 billion dollars.
